First spotted on the feet of the streetwear godfather himself back in April this year, the kicks take cues from Fragment’s celebrated AJ1 collaboration from 2014.

This Fragment x Air Jordan 3 takes on the same color scheme as the popular Air Jordan 1. A white leather upper is accented by black leather wrapping the toe and heel. Royal blue hits can be seen on the tongue, ankle collar, midsole, and heel tab.

Fragment’s signature bolt logo is embossed on the lateral side of the upper, near the heel, while prototype-style text labels the tooling – a design feature that also graced the likes of the Fragment’s Roshe Daybreak colab in 2016.

The cool tone is also applied to the Jumpman and Nike Air branding, the lowermost and topmost eyelets, and the text-adorned trim of the midsole.

Softer leathers and suedes should require less break in time. Over time, the upper on most sneakers will conform to the wearer’s foot shape a bit, becoming a much better and more comfortable fit.

Are Air Jordan 3 Good For Basketball?

One could play basketball in an Air Jordan 3, however it is inadvisable when compared to more advanced modern basketball sneakers available. Today’s tech surpasses that of the 80s and 90s with respect to sports performance.

I would put the Air Jordan 3 strictly in the casual category. While one could theoretically hoop in some retro Js, this is nowhere near ideal. I find walking in the Air Jordan 3 is ok, as long as you don’t overdo it. A few miles at a time is fine though.

Jordan Fragments are high-end designer sneakers. It’s a collection of various models that arose from a collaboration that occurred with the Hiroshi Fujiwara fragment design label and the Jordan brand. The two superpowers in the design world put their heads together to create a unique sneaker line that is becoming an iconic shoe in pop culture.

Certainly the most cherished of the capsule is the retro AJ3, and it’s ultra-clean execution is signature of the Fragment Design language. The shoe featuring a clean White leather upper paired with Black smooth leather overlays replacing the traditional elephant print. Sans any cement print that we’re used to seeing on the silhouette, this iteration, save for the smooth black leather mudguards, is cowled in crispy white exteriors along the uppers, laces, and treading. Fragment’s lightning bolt logo on the translucent heels with “AIR” branding atop a White rubber sole completes the design. Moreover, just above the Air bubbles you’ll find a textual hit that involves a long set of numbers as well as the Fragment moniker.
