This custom concept of the Nike Dunk Low hales from the people over at @nobrainer.psd in Japan. Inspired by the well-known Japanese anime Initial D, the pair arrives with a number of aged and deconstructed accents that have these looking like your favourite pair of OFF-WHITE Dunks. This pair of “Panda Trueno” certainly bears all the right storytelling details but getting your hands on a pair in 2023 might prove challenging.

Using the general release pairs of the Nike Dunk Low “Black White” as a base, the customisation arrives through various painted panels and additional text. The upper features coffee-dyed white leather panels, sat atop a semi-aged midsole while the midsole stitching is painted in black. On the lateral front toe sits “Trueno”, a reference to the car the protagonist drives in Initial D. An orange tab pokes out from the back portion of the Swoosh, with the car’s decals printed just below, channelling that Virgil-esque design language. As a final touch, the back of the midsole bears the specific number plate, adding another playful reference to the custom pair.

Are Dunks Or SB Dunks More Comfortable? An older SB Dunk can be more comfortable than a regular (non-SB) Dunk.
