First rumored in late January, the “Satin Bred” Air Jordan recently surfaced in lifestyle photography that delivers the best look yet. The sneaker dons a full satin upper that nods to the classic Air Jordan “Flight Suit” warm-up outfit that Michael Jordan wore back in 1985.

Leather panels, however, are replaced with luxurious satin overlays, injecting a softness to the remake of the Jordan 1. Eyestays take on an AJ1KO-like finish, while “Wings” logos on the lateral ankle flaps are embroidered.

Underfoot, the satin-covered offering keeps things close to original form, donning a “White” midsole and ruby-colored outsole that complement the upper well.

Product history. The first Air Jordan was produced for use by Michael Jordan. They were designed by Peter B. Moore, and released during Jordan’s sophomore season with the Chicago Bulls. The Jordan 1 Royal was never worn by Michael Jordan on an NBA court.

Why are Air Jordan 1 so good?
