Thes Air Jordan 1 High OG edition set for 2023 is the “Celadon” colourway, drawing connections to the craft of Pottery which is a first for the silhouette. Celadon is both a colour and glaze that was developed during the 10th and 11th centuries, with the Jordan Brand design team now using it on its own piece of art that was created by the legendary Bruce Kilgore back in the ‘80s.

the Air Jordan 1 features a more complex and textured approach. Muted-colored suede is elegantly applied around the forefoot, along the tongue, and across the heel area, creating a rich base that exudes style and sophistication.

Deviating from the understated “Celadon” hue, the profile swooshes embrace a striking “Bright Mandarin” tone. This vibrant color also animates the underlays at the ankle, inner lining, and “NIKE AIR” text on the tongue, adding an unexpected twist to the overall palette.

The design further indulges in an “aged” midsole, aligning with the “Neo-vintage” styles that have become a signature of Brand Jordan. The outsole’s “Celadon” makeover rounds out the retro appeal, bringing harmony to the distinctive design.

Product history. The first Air Jordan was produced for use by Michael Jordan. They were designed by Peter B. Moore, and released during Jordan’s sophomore season with the Chicago Bulls. The Jordan 1 Royal was never worn by Michael Jordan on an NBA court.
