Jordan Brand gears up for the colder climate with the iconic Air Jordan 1 Gore-Tex so you can keep your style fresh and confident throughout autumn and winter. This weatherproof variant of the legendary ‘80s basketball sneaker has been a seasonal staple since debuting in 2021. The newly introduced Air Jordan 1 GORE-TEX “Black Bright Mandarin” iteration delivers an earthy colour palette built to withstand the rigours of the great outdoors.

The winterised Jordan 1 starts with a blue ripstop mesh vamp with olive green ripstop fabrics encompassing the quarter panels. Nubuck and nylon materials come together across Peter Moore’s design in a familiar, but updated way. Meanwhile, black nubuck leather overlays wrap most of the upper, juxtaposed with a blue nubuck collar and a white Jordan Wings symbol on the lateral. “GORE-TEX” text are stamped onto the lateral heel, marking the sneaker’s protection against the elements. Bright orange accents illuminate the Nike Air labels on the tongue, while co-branding on the sockliners arranges a complementing blue and orange hue. The sail white midsole adds a touch of vintage that harkens back to the silhouette’s ‘80s origins. The pair also features an experimental, “deconstructed” aesthetic that works well with the toughness of the Element GORE-TEX makeover. Underfoot, the outsole opts for a partly transparent finish that increases grip in tough conditions.

Product history. The first Air Jordan was produced for use by Michael Jordan. They were designed by Peter B. Moore, and released during Jordan’s sophomore season with the Chicago Bulls. The Jordan 1 Royal was never worn by Michael Jordan on an NBA court.
