Founded in 2010 by childhood friends Melvin Tanaya and Lyna Ty, Song For The Mute served as the voice for the voiceless through its distinguished fashion sense inspired by Australian culture. This adidas Campus 80s rendition flaunts a beige canvas construction embellished with frayed edges to deliver a pre-distressed aesthetic. Black 3-Stripes wrap the lateral sides, juxtaposed with vibrant orange accents on the medial panel. Co-branded labels adorn the tongue, while an “SFTM-002” tag sits on the lateral collar, contrasting the adidas Trefoil tag on the medial section. Oversized metallic eyelets further emphasise the unique update on this ‘80s icon. The chunky gum rubber sole with black herringbone patterns on the outsole wraps up the expressive makeover of this adidas Campus 80s colourway.

At first dubbed “The Tournament” by the brand, it broke free of the basketball court and was rebranded as the Campus. From there, it was adopted by style-conscious B-boys, eventually becoming a defining shoe of the hip-hop scene in the 1980s and 1990s,
