The CLOT x Nike \u201cCLOTEZ\u201d is detachable into a sneaker and slip-on for indoor and outdoor use.<\/p>\n<p>It comes equipped with a drawstring fastening system featuring a Yin Yang symbol and Chinese characters \u201c?\u201d and \u201c?\u201d (Kung Fu?embroidered at the heel. The shoe, meant as an indoor house shoe, features a Yellow leather upper with Black Swooshes, while the matte Black slip-on comes in a Kung Fu shoe-inspired silhouette, with serrated bottoms for maximum grip. Each \u201cClotez\u201d comes with detachable insoles for the slip-on for extra comfort.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.geriderklostertaler.at\/product-tag\/clot-x-nike\/\">CLOT\u00a0and Nike<\/a> share a vision of bridging the gap between different cultures and creating products that reflect their heritage and innovation. CLOT, which stands for Creativity Lives On Tomorrow, was founded in 2003 by Edison Chen and Kevin Poon as a lifestyle brand that aims to inspire the youth of Asia and beyond.<\/p>\n<h3>Nike Cortez The origin story<\/h3>\n<p>The Nike Cortez was designed back in 1972 by Nike\u2019s co-founder Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight as one of the brand\u2019s first shoes when the brand still operated under the name Blue Ribbon. They were made in collaboration with Japanese brand Onitsuka, and were built to be light and comfortable long-distance running shoes. The shoes were packed with never-seen-before thick foam midsoles which have now been updated to EVA foam, which provided more cushioning and support for athletes.<\/p>\n<p>How it got its name was when Onitsuka sent over a shoe prototype in 1967 to Bowerman and Knight, and asked for suggestions for a name. The 1968 Olympic Games was scheduled to be held at Mexico, and Bowerman initially came up with the name \u201cThe Aztec\u201d in commemoration of the event. However, Adidas had threatened to sue if the name was not changed as they had already released a shoe called the Azteca Gold.
